Job summary

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Associate degree in plastics engineering, industrial technology, or related field preferred
3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
Extensive knowledge of engineered resins, and operation of injection molding machines and peripheral equipment

Responsibilities

Supervises the molding department to ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and production efficiency.
Maintains quality and productivity standards through continuous improvement programs, countermeasure implementation and training.
Provides input to manufacturing and product engineering for new and existing processes.
Designs, develops, and implements process improvements to produce quality products while meeting productivity targets.
Trains and educates new associates on plastic molding processes and equipment.
Monitors cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
Performs product problem solving and corrective actions.
Performs machine process adjustments and changeovers as needed.
Implements productivity improvements through capacity checks, 4S, and cycle time optimization.
Completes required forms and paperwork, prepares reports.
Promotes an associate relations environment aligned with long-term management objectives.
Collaborates with support departments to meet key metrics targets.
Follows all safety rules and keeps the work area clean and orderly.
Performs other duties as necessary.
