Job summary

HI-LEX North America in Michigan seeks an Injection Molding Operator to produce parts meeting our quality standards. You will operate plastic injection molding machines, follow setup sheets, and use PPE correctly.

Responsibilities include in-process checks, first-piece validation, process adjustments, and data entry using a handheld scanner and ERP system. Requirements: high school diploma and 3 years in plastic injection molding; familiarity with calipers, gages, and PIT equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in plastic injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Instructs operators in the safe and proper operation of all injection molding machines to produce a part conforming to all quality and production standards.
• Performs in-process checks, tests and gaging as required by control plans and operator instructions.
• Identifies out of specification components. Following non-conforming product and/or hold tag procedures.
• Responsible for 1st piece validation for each job and correct material being used.
• Performs product problem solving and corrective actions.
• Works to ensure company goals are attained.
• Performs process adjustments when necessary.
• Completes required forms and paperwork.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, labels, and correctness of parts
• Performs cycle counts using handheld scanner and ERP system
• Follows all safety rules and keeps the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
