Job summary

Prysmian in North Las Vegas seeks a Production Supervisor for the Plastics Department to schedule, coordinate, and execute daily production plans, assign work, monitor equipment, report scrap, manage inventory, and mentor hourly staff.

You will be the first contact for safety and operations, enforce facility rules, train staff, review schedules for materials and tooling, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in injection molding with good plastic processing knowledge.
• Previous supervision experience with leadership and communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, evaluating, and correcting process conditions.
• Start-up and shutdown of all machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Good mechanical knowledge and hands-on approach.
• Proficient computer skills and able to read assembly instructions.
• Good vision (this can be accomplished with corrective lenses).

Responsibilities

• Directs the shift to ensure on-time production and delivery of the finished goods production plan.
• Supervises daily activities of personnel and ensures quality standards.
• Conducts training for new employees and ongoing skill development.
• Reviews schedules, materials, tooling requirements, and sequencing.
• Enforces safety rules and housekeeping; manages timecards and attendance.
• Facilitates continuous improvement and 5S standards.
