Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent accepted.
• 2-5 years’ experience in injection molding with strong plastic processing knowledge.
• Previous supervision experience with proven leadership and communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, evaluating, and correcting process conditions.
• Experience with start-up and shut down of machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Good mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills.
• Solid computer skills.
• Good vision (corrective lenses acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Directs the shift to ensure on-time production and delivery of the finished goods production plan.
• Supervises and coordinates daily activities of personnel manufacturing parts and components to specifications and quality standards.
• Conducts pre-shift meetings, verifies attendance, checks PPE, and provides training as required.
• Reviews the production schedule and determines process, materials, machines, tooling and operations sequencing.
• Learns and suggests improvements to standard operating procedures.
• Conducts in-process inspections and verifies finished parts for quality conformance.
• Ensures clear communication with employees and maintains awareness of company matters.
• Develops a performance-driven culture by following systems and processes.
