Job summary

Storm2 seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to partner with executives in a fintech payroll platform serving web3 and blockchain ecosystems. You will build secure, scalable systems for financial transactions and digital asset operations, owning platform reliability, incident response, and security best practices.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in DevOps/SRE or security roles, deep cloud expertise, and hands-on experience with IAM, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, SRE, or Security Engineering.
• Strong cloud experience across public platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Deep understanding of IAM, networking, secrets management, and security.

We are currently partnered with a Series A FinTech firm that specializes in developing payroll products for companies within the web3 & blockchain space in search for Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to build, secure, and scale critical systems supporting financial transactions and digital asset operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead security initiatives across cloud, application, and payment platforms.
• Manage incident response, vulnerability management, access controls, and security best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Site Reliability, or Security Engineering.
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Deep understanding of IAM, networking, secrets management, and infrastructure security.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, databases, observability, and production operations.
• Exposure to blockchain, digital assets, wallets, or cryptocurrency infrastructure.
• Experience within fintech, payments, or other regulated environments is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SOC 2, PCI, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
• Relevant security certifications.
• Exposure to smart contract security reviews or blockchain infrastructure.
• Knowledge of digital asset, stablecoin, or payment settlement systems.
