Job summary

Iceberg is seeking an experienced security engineering leader in San Francisco who remains hands-on and enjoys solving technical problems. You will lead Security Engineering across product, cloud infrastructure and internal systems, partnering with engineering teams to influence architecture and embed security into how software is developed.

AI tooling and LLM security are a big part of the roadmap, so experience securing AI workflows would be a huge plus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security engineering or product security teams.
• Strong cloud security expertise (AWS, GCP or Azure) and security architecture.
• Proven track record implementing secure SDLC and threat modelling.

I'm working with a high-growth FinTech company that's looking for an experienced security engineering leader who's still hands-on and enjoys solving technical problems.

You'll lead Security Engineering across product, cloud infrastructure and internal systems. This isn't a governance or compliance role. They're looking for someone who can partner with engineering teams, influence architecture, and build security into how software gets developed.

AI is a big part of the roadmap, so experience securing AI tooling, LLMs or agentic workflows would be a huge plus.

You’ll likely have experience with:

• Leading Security Engineering or Product Security teams
• Cloud security (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Security architecture and threat modelling
• Secure SDLC and modern application security
• IAM, authentication and infrastructure security
• Building security into fast-moving engineering organisations

Experience within FinTech, payments, digital assets or crypto would be beneficial, but it's by no means essential.

Comp: $340k-$360k base + bonus + equity
