Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technically senior infrastructure leader to own the platform roadmap and set the direction for core infrastructure, CI/CD, developer tooling, and shared services.

You will mentor a team of platform engineers, stay hands-on with AWS-based infrastructure, and drive reliability and scalability as our user base grows. You will lead observability, incident response, and collaborate with product engineers to keep workflows smooth and production stable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with focus on infrastructure.
• People management experience or track record as tech lead.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native architectures on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Problem-solving mindset across infra, backend, and product work.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work independently in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and guide technical direction for the platform.
• Mentor a team of platform/infrastructure engineers.
• Hands-on design, build, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure.
• Drive reliability and scalability for growing user base.
• Lead observability, monitoring, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Collaborate with product engineers to keep workflows smooth and production stable.
• Make architectural calls balancing speed and long-term reliability.
