Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the CTO/IAM to shape scalable infrastructure and performance strategies. You will apply deep experience in cloud, automation, and monitoring to design, implement, and optimize critical infrastructure across platforms.

The role requires strong collaboration across teams, governance of AI-assisted tooling, and proactive capacity planning to ensure service health, security, and resiliency for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering with 5+ years of practical experience.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, storage, deployment practices, automation, resilience, or performance assessments.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, ensuring resiliency, security, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise to projects of moderate scope and designs and troubleshoots infrastructure problems of moderate complexity.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, with strong data handling and security awareness.
• Leads a workstream of infrastructure technologies and collaborates across platforms to implement changes that modernize technology processes and reduce risk.
• Considers upstream/downstream data and systems, advising on mitigations for reliability.
• Implements AI-assisted patterns to automate operations, ensuring changes are traceable and auditable.
• Troubleshoots priority incidents, conducts blameless post-mortems and drives closure actions.
• Participates in rotational support coverage as needed.
• Defines and drives adoption of best-in-class monitoring and observability to achieve end-to-end reliability.
• Contributes to automation of manual operational tasks and improves capacity, performance, and utilization monitoring.
