Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Lead, Information Security Systems Engineer to drive secure system design and certification efforts for DoD programs.

You will lead RMF/A&A processes, develop security documentation, coordinate with customers, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and related standards in a 100% onsite lab environment. Active clearance is required with Top Secret preferred; 9+ years of related experience is expected; this role emphasizes deep security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years alternative.
• Active Collateral Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
• Candidate may need DoD 8140/NIST 800-181 certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment activities for security and privacy controls in embedded systems using NIST 800-53.
• Experience leading RMF accreditation and A&A processes (categories, controls, BoE).
• Experience with A&A package processing and RMF PIT system accreditation.
• Experience with cyber defense and vulnerability tools such as ACAS and SCC.
• Support DoD software selection for COTS, GOTS and FOSS; perform security testing/verification.
• Assist program security in policy development and emerging security technologies.
• Onsite-only lab work; no remote support; obtain/maintain required clearances.
