Job summary

Peraton is seeking a System Engineer - Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. The role requires DoD 8570 IAM compliance, TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a strong background in security operations and vulnerability assessment.

The position offers a target salary range of $146,000 to $234,000 with potential bonuses based on experience and location within Maryland.

Qualifications

• Seven years of SE/ISSO experience on similar programs.
• DoD 8570 IAM, Level I or higher required.
• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational security posture for the information system.
• Manage security aspects and day‑to‑day operations of the system.
• Evaluate security solutions for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessments for certification and accreditation.
• Provide configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Lead changes and assess security impact of changes.
• Prepare SSPs, Risk Assessments, C&A packages, SCTMs.
• Support NSA/CSS DIACAP and DoD DIACAP compliance.
