Job summary

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science & Technology Directorate, Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, seeks a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) to lead a team and oversee secure IT program outcomes in support of homeland security missions.

The ideal candidate will manage risk, ensure compliance with background investigations and pre-employment screenings, and guide technical efforts to deliver sustainable security technologies for DHS operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen per requirements.
• Selective Service registration for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Background investigation required.
• Pre-employment drug test (TDP) and random testing.
• Possible one-year probationary period.
• Consent for DHS sharing of application for similar positions.
• Complete initial online assessment and USAHire assessment if required.
• OD JFE Confidential Financial Disclosure Form annually (OGE 450).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver effective and sustainable technologies, systems, and capabilities to support homeland security missions and enhance DHS operational effectiveness.
• Provide supervisory IT security leadership in the DHS Science & Technology Directorate’s HSARPA.
