Job summary

Livermore Playschool Inc in California seeks an Infant Teacher to support cognitive and social development for 18–36 month olds. Under the Director's guidance, you will foster a safe, nurturing, play-centered learning environment using age-appropriate strategies to promote early learning across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities include curriculum design, maintaining child records, supervising the infant team, engaging with parents, and upholding licensing

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or ability to obtain within two years.
• 3–5 years of experience with infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and age-appropriate curriculum.
• Excellent communication, patience, creativity, and classroom organization.
• Professional demeanor, team player, flexible and adaptable to change.
• Must complete required training: Mandated Reporter, Harassment Prevention, Food Handling, CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements curriculum for infants and toddlers.
• Maintains health, safety, and licensing ratios.
• Supervises and mentors the Infant Teacher / Infant Aide.
• Communicates with parents via emails or direct conversations.
• Keeps meal, nap, and diaper logs; completes training on schedule.
• Participates in meetings and professional development.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
