Orono Public Schools' Discovery Kids Childcare is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to guide our infant classroom at the Discovery Center. You’ll create a safe, joyful space where our youngest learners thrive and families feel supported.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of early childhood experience, demonstrated classroom leadership, and the ability to mentor assistants. You’ll plan developmentally appropriate activities, track growth using GOLD, and share updates with families through

• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate daily activities for infants.
• Track growth using Teaching Strategies GOLD and hold family conferences twice a year.
• Mentor and guide the assistant teachers and aides in your classroom.
• Share daily photo updates on Seesaw and a monthly family newsletter.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized classroom and maintain staff-to-child ratios.

Lead Infant Teacher | Discovery Kids Childcare, Orono Public Schools

Pay: $21.62 to $23.84/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. No weekends!
Location: Orono Schools Discovery Center

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
