Job summary

The Goddard School of Long Hill Township in Stirling, NJ is hiring an Infant–Toddler Lead Teacher for an immediate start. You’ll create developmentally appropriate plans and foster a safe, nurturing classroom where infants and toddlers feel secure and curious.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in an infant/toddler classroom (lead experience preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certified (or able to obtain quickly).
• Strong knowledge of child development and best practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a safe, nurturing, and responsive classroom environment for children and families
• Support social-emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development through meaningful routines and play
• Observe and document child progress; communicate clearly and warmly with families
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and discovery
• Collaborate with teaching teammates and leadership to ensure consistency and support
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations and school policies
• Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and coaching

Compensation (Experience + Education Based)

We offer a pay range of $19–$22/hour, and placement within that range is determined by relevant experience, credentials, and level of education (CDA, Associate’s, Bachelor’s, etc.). Candidates with strong lead experience and/or higher education in Early Childhood may qualify toward the top end of the range.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine love for working with infants and toddlers


• 2+ years experience in an infant/toddler classroom (lead experience preferred)
