Hours: 8:30 - 5:30 pm with a one-hour break

We are seeking a seasoned, compassionate, patient, and dedicated Infant Room Teacher to join our team at The Goddard School of Collegeville. As an Infant Room Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged 3 months to 1 year. You will be responsible for fostering early childhood development and creating a positive, supportive atmosphere and bond for both the children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and supervision for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants.
  • Develop and maintain daily schedules that include feeding, napping, and playtime routines.
  • Observe and document each child’s growth and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate verbally and in-writing with parents about their child’s progress, behavior, and daily experiences
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with basic care tasks, such as feeding, diapering, and helping infants with motor skill development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 2-5 years of previous experience working with young children (preferably infants or young toddlers) in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
