Are you an experienced Lead Teacher looking to make an impact in early childhood education? Join our dynamic team at Water Lily Learning Center.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a passion for working with young children, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance with state regulations. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and fostering strong relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Create and implement a curriculum that aligns with Ohio’s 2024 Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Classroom Management: Create and sustain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment conducive to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
  • Assessment & Documentation: Conduct regular developmental assessments using state-approved tools, maintaining accurate and detailed records of each child’s progress.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, offering regular updates and resources to support their child’s development.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with Department of Children and Youth (DCY) regulations, including health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a lead teacher in a licensed early childhood program, with a strong understanding of Ohio’s Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) system.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in child development and curriculum planning.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Proficient in using technology for educational purposes.
  • Certifications: Must meet all DCY requirements, including current CPR and First Aid certification.
