Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; an associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• CDA credential is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• State-required pre-service training completed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Wonder of Learning® curriculum to support each child’s growth.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate openly with families about child progress and daily activities.
• Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
• Observe, assess and document children’s learning to share insights with families.
• Support Assistant Teachers and other staff to foster teamwork.
• Model positive guidance for social-emotional development and conflict resolution.
