Job summary

The Goddard School in Candler, NC seeks a passionate Lead Teacher for the Infant Room to provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate curriculum using Wonder of Learning. You will lead daily activities, model positive guidance and collaborate with a supportive team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (ECE preferred), CDA is a plus, 1–2 years of licensed childcare experience, and a strong ability to communicate with families and colleagues to foster growth and well-being of young

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA preferred
• 1–2 years of previous experience with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain open, effective communication with families and guardians about child progress
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure health and safety
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
• Observe and document children's learning to inform activities and share insights with families
• Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers as part of a collaborative team
• Model positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth
