Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Infant Guide in our Creve Coeur, MO campus to lead a mixed-age infant classroom (0–1) in a thoughtfully designed Montessori environment that supports independence, movement, and discovery.

You will observe each child, respect rhythms for sleep, feeding and toileting, prepare an orderly environment, foster independence, build relationships with children and families, and partner with parents to support growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a care setting; age 0–3 preferred.
• Alignment with child-led educational philosophies (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (any field) and Montessori certification expected or pursued.
• Montessori certification sponsorship offered through Prepared Montessorian Institute.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support development across physical, emotional, and cognitive domains.
• Respect and follow each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly environment that promotes movement and exploration.
• Support independence by encouraging children to participate in care activities.
• Build warm, meaningful relationships with children and families.
• Partner with parents to support each child’s growth and development.
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team to foster a respectful community.
