Job summary

Zachry Group in Texas is seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter to assemble, layout, install and maintain pipe systems on steam, fluid or gas projects. You will work at construction sites, including in tanks or boilers, and may operate at heights and in underground areas.

The role requires 4+ years of pipe fitting experience, ability to read prints, strong teamwork, and a commitment to Zachry safety rules. The position is full-time and on-site with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Pipe Fitter.
• Ability to read prints and illustrate thorough knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Experience on an industrial construction project.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturer instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
• Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges in the piping system according to plans and applicable specifications.
• Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
