Job summary

CORE Linen is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a commercial laundry facility in Birmingham, Alabama. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and efficiency through preventive maintenance and timely repairs during production operations.

You will work both independently and with the maintenance team to minimize downtime, support safe plant operations, and maintain accurate logs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industrial or plant maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical/plumbing blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with safety practices such as lockout/tagout and confined space entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment during production operations.
• Repair mechanical components (belts, bearings, drives, jams, conveyors).
• Respond to equipment failures during production and document actions.
• Maintain maintenance logs and communicate status to supervisors.
