Job summary

Engineered Wire in Oneida, NY is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will plan daily activities, drive preventive maintenance, and partner with Production to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree not required; Associate degree preferred in industrial maintenance, mechanical or electrical tech, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance; prior supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial maintenance systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and perform in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance mechanics and electricians.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance work to support production schedules and objectives.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other departments on equipment and process improvements.
• Ensure maintenance work is safe, compliant, and high-quality.
• Support safety culture by adhering to policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and productivity.
• Assist with maintenance planning, inventory, contractor coordination, and capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documents, work orders, and equipment records.
• Provide ongoing training, performance coaching, and development opportunities.
