Job description

We're looking for a Lead Industrial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician in Indianapolis to join our growing team at freije. You will provide preventative maintenance, startup new equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose, and repair various commercial and industrial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment. You will report to the Industrial Service Manager. This work will be performed on industrial sites such as pharmaceutical manufacturers, power plants, and chemical facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment
• Inspect, troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair HVAC/R equipment
• Document work performed and submit reports via smart device (iPad or phone)
• Assist with providing information to quote repairs
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and parts
• Explain HVAC issues and repair recommendations to customers
• Adhere to all safety procedures

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC/R Service Technician experience
• EPA certification (Type I & II) minimum
• High safety and security standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Broad knowledge of tools, safety, and electronic equipment in this trade
• Punctuality and adaptability to schedule changes
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders and aerial lifts
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
