Job summary
Fairfax County Government seeks an experienced Lead Industrial Electrician to supervise a crew of apprentice and journeyman electricians within the Wastewater Management division. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, panels, motors, drives, and safety-compliant systems while supporting 24/7 emergency responses.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus six years of industrial electrician experience.
- Valid Virginia Master Electrician license.
- Confined Space Certification within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Plan and guide a crew of apprentice and journeyman electricians under supervision.
- Maintain and repair electrical control panels, motors, and switchgear.
- Monitor inventory and initiate purchase requests as needed.
- Diagnose electrical circuits and ensure safety compliance.
- Create schematics and maintain online O&M manuals.
- Lead in repairs and tests of circuits, motors, and equipment.
- Install circuits for power and lighting using various wiring methods.
- Respond to routine and emergency service calls after hours.
