Job summary

Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY, seeks a Senior Quality Inspector, In-Process Inspection to authorize assembly completion and support the build team with in-process inspections throughout the build.

You will validate visually and dimensionally against engineering drawings, inspect surfaces, fasteners, sealant and paint, compile technical data and deviation reports, lead corrective actions, and participate in continuous improvement projects across Saab facilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of qualified inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO/AS9100 and highly standardized processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Authorize assembly process completion and support build team with in-process inspections.
• Validate visually and dimensionally against engineering drawings.
• Inspect surfaces, fasteners, sealant, paint, and testing for defects.
• Compile data and reports; provide feedback on final inspection results and corrective actions.
• Develop deviation reports and represent Quality at MRB; manage non-conforming materials.
