Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team to inspect incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet prescribed requirements.

You will collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, and Manufacturing to sustain high quality for customers. Responsibilities include verifying materials against drawings, using calipers/micrometers, maintaining quality records, and supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Comfortable using computers and learning software programs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Previous experience with product inspection (desired).
• Familiarity with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components and products using visual, mechanical, and measurement techniques.
• Verify materials against engineering drawings, specifications, purchase order, and quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
• Collect and maintain related quality records.
• Use of a computer-based ERP system for data entry and inventory management.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
• Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
