Job summary

Jobsonboard is seeking an Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions in a manufacturing setting. You will translate complex operational requirements into scalable Ignition architectures, working with cross-functional teams from site assessment to production rollout to ensure reliability and data-driven insights.

The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on Ignition experience, PLC integration know-how, and proficiency in Python

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role (10+ years strongly preferred).
• Hands-on Ignition SCADA architecture and system design experience.
• Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred.
• Proven PLC integration experience and familiarity with multiple industrial protocols.
• Strong IT/OT convergence and data flow understanding.
• Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition.
• Manufacturing/industrial environment experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• EU citizenship and a valid passport required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness.
• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across PLC platforms.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts within Ignition.
• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions.
• Build dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and performance.
• Lead project execution with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and continuous system improvements.

• Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments


• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness


• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms


• Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment


• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions


• Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and operational performance


• Lead project execution, collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders

Requirements
