Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching is seeking an experienced Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions in a manufacturing environment. You will translate complex operational requirements into scalable Ignition architectures and work with cross-functional teams from site assessment to production rollout.

The role demands strong technical leadership, hands-on Ignition expertise, Python scripting, and a focus on reliability, data-driven insights, and KPI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1+ year in a similar role (10+ years strongly preferred).
• Hands-on Ignition SCADA architecture and system design experience.
• Active Ignition Gold Certification highly preferred.
• Experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial protocols.
• Strong IT/OT convergence knowledge and industrial data flows.
• Proficient Python scripting within Ignition.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect Ignition SCADA systems, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments.
• Perform site surveys to assess machine connectivity and data readiness.
• Define IT/OT integration strategies across PLC platforms.
• Develop Python scripts within Ignition.
• Design interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions.
• Create dashboards visualizing KPIs, OEE, and performance.
• Lead project execution with distributed engineering teams.
• Provide documentation and drive continuous system improvements.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical leader who can translate complex operational requirements into scalable, high-performance Ignition architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, from site assessment to production rollout, while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments


• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness


• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms


• Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment


• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions


• Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and operational performance


• Lead project execution, collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders


• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and continuous system improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field


• Minimum 1+ year experience in a similar role (10+ years strongly preferred)


• Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA architecture and system design


• Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred


• Proven experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial communication protocols

• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• EU citizenship and a valid passport are required
