Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Auth & Auth TSE team. You will be a senior, hands-on engineer tackling complex identity and authentication issues, designing secure integrations, and driving durable fixes across firmwide systems.

You will read stack traces, script reproductions, and document findings, while mentoring others and contributing to diagnostic improvements and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Customer-facing solution design: work with engineering customers to design fixes.
• Coding/scripting proficiency: read and write code to reproduce issues and review integrations.
• Technical writing and review: clear documentation and constructive review of others' work.
• Broad systems integration across many systems, protocols, and languages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-region front-line technical support across the Auth & Auth portfolio.
• Partner with engineering customers to design and validate integrations and secure credential handling.
• Own complex incidents spanning multiple systems and drive them to resolution.
• Read and write code daily for reproductions and tooling.
• Author and review runbooks and root-cause write-ups.
• Provide regional escalation coverage and mentor other engineers.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with secure, validated outputs.
• Improve automation and tooling within the SDLC toolchain.
