NextEra Energy seeks a Principal Power Generation Engineer to lead IBR performance analysis, disturbance monitoring, and NERC PRC compliance for wind, solar, and storage assets. You will shape scalable analytics, automation tools, and AI-assisted workflows.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, controls, reliability, and compliance teams to improve event investigations, fleet reliability, and engineering decision-making across the PGD portfolio.

Formación

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or PE licensure.
• 6+ years of power systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NERC PRC reliability standards for generation and IBR.
• Experience analyzing disturbance events using COMTRADE, DFR, or disturbance data.
• Experience developing engineering processes, tools, or data-driven investigations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead inverter-based resource performance and disturbance analysis initiatives.
• Evaluate ride-through performance and support PRC compliance investigations.
• Develop analytical tools, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fleet reliability.
• Drive audits and technical assessments of IBR performance and reliability standards.
