Job summary

George’s Inc. is seeking a Lead I to assist with setup, adjustment, maintenance, and configuration of processing equipment on an Edinburg, VA shift. You will communicate with production teams and supervisors and complete required paperwork.

The role involves inspecting runs, monitoring material flow, changing over packaging, and assisting line mechanics as needed. Extensive attention to safety and accuracy is expected.

Qualifications

• Required: None.
• Preferred: Previous poultry processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Turn on equipment at start and shut down at end of shift.
• Perform visual inspections and complete run documentation.
• Monitor the flow of materials through the machine.
• Do minor package changeovers and material changes.
• Assist line mechanics with repairs as needed.
• Ensure equipment is on and functioning before a run.
• Ensure proper coding on boxes/trays and graphics.
• Clear machine of product at end of run and shift.
• Assist in relieving machine operators for breaks.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
