Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co. is seeking a senior leader for the I&C Safety Systems Software Tools & Automation Group in Warrendale, PA.

The role combines hands-on software development with people leadership to enhance tooling, automation, simulation, and engineering productivity across safety-critical digital I&C software. You will guide architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of tools, libraries, and DevOps workflows, while driving process improvements and system traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong experience with C# and Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, build/release pipelines, dashboards.
• Experience creating and maintaining NuGet packages and reusable libraries.
• Experience developing automated testing solutions and engineering productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the I&C Safety Systems Software Tools and Automation team.
• Manage workload, priorities, and delivery across multiple projects.
• Mentor and develop team members and support their career growth.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in design, development, testing, and deployment of tooling.
• Develop software solutions to improve productivity, quality, and lifecycle efficiency.
• Develop and maintain reusable libraries and shared frameworks used across projects.
• Advance Azure DevOps usage, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling across the lifecycle.
