Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to lead the development and deployment of advanced refining processes and software for capital projects.

You will drive controls infrastructure, from concept to handover, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with lab, pilot plant, and project teams to scale innovative mineral refining technologies in a chemical-processing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong controls fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with equipment engineering and design.
• Proficient in controls hardware specification and system administration.
• Experience with EI&C scopes for pilot plant design.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards for controls programming.
• Lead equipment scopes from concept through ramp and handover.
• Manage external providers and licensors to deliver integrated mineral refining scope.
• Drive cross-functional teams for scale-up and de-risking of new processes.
• Support hiring and mentorship of junior process engineers.
• Develop technoeconomic models for new projects and technologies.
• Prepare bankable engineering deliverables for project financing due diligence.
• Identify and implement process engineering and project management tools.
• Support automation of capital project workflows and develop plant control algorithms.
