As a Principal Project Engineer – Level 3 located in Promontory, UT, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. The preferred location for this role is Promontory, UT. May consider one of the following major Space sector locations: Magna, UT.
The Project Engineer is responsible for establishment and execution of all technical aspects of development, qualification, and production of a hypersonic rocket motor. These positions will manage the technical products and aspects associated with the design, engineering & manufacturing development (EMD), qualification, and the follow‑on production phases. The Project Engineer may also be responsible for the scale up of products, processes, tooling, and facilities for low rate and high rate production. Fast paced development programs offer the potential for the Project Engineer to work with a variety of resources, teams and divisions and witness the entirety of the programs engineering lifecycle. Currently there are three potential Project Engineer job openings depending upon the candidate’s interests and abilities.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
