Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a Senior Process/Specialty Engineer – HydroMet with deep hydrometallurgical expertise, especially in lithium and rare earths. The role leads multidisciplinary teams, develops advanced process models, and coordinates lab-scale to FEED/EPFC activities.

Responsibilities include overseeing pilot testing, delivering quality plans, and interfacing with clients and Fluor engineers to meet contract commitments. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year engineering degree and fourteen years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients and vendors.
• Knowledge of hydrometallurgical processes for Lithium, Black Mass, and Rare Earths.
• Experience with simulation software and PFD/BFD/SmartPlant P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to develop drawings and specifications for FEED/EPFC phase project definition and/or execution in Lithium and Rare Earths.
• Develop specialized process simulation models and hydrometallurgical flowsheets.
• Design, manage and coordinate lab and pilot-scale testing and summarize results for clients.
• Develop Process Technology Quality Plans for small to mid-size projects.
• Oversee Process Activity Plans for mid-size projects and ensure contract alignment.
• Execute Fluor's scope of work per contract requirements.
• Interface with client, project, and discipline engineers to align requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup.
