Job summary

Molten Salt Solutions seeks a Lead Process Engineer for a lithium processing pilot plant in Santa Fe, NM. You will be the technical authority across project phases, with responsibilities from technology development through plant operation, reporting to the CEO and coordinating with discipline leads.

The role requires U.S. citizenship due to government contracts, with background checks and random drug testing. Travel to vendors/projects and some lifting around industrial equipment are expected.

Qualifications

B.S. Chemical Engineering required; P.E. licensure preferred or obtainable.
5+ years process engineering on large capital E&C projects with ownership.
Experience in solvent exchange or related solid-handling/aqueous chemistry.
Ability to translate bench data into pilot or commercial design envelopes.
Proficient in PFD, H&MB, and P&ID development; familiar with OSHA/PSM.

Responsibilities

Establish technical foundation and design envelope for pilot plant.
Prepare Basis of Design documenting feed, product specs, and constraints.
Develop PFDs, H&MB, and P&ID for all project phases.
Lead or co-lead PSM/HAZOP reviews and MOC processes.
Translate design basis into operating procedures for pilot operations.
