Job summary

STV Incorporated in South Carolina is seeking a Water Resources/Hydraulics Engineer for a hybrid position in Columbia or North Charleston. You will independently prepare hydrologic studies, drainage designs, and stormwater permits while coordinating with clients and senior staff.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in water resources, and SC PE licensure; multi-state licensure is a plus. Growth opportunities and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• PE licensure in South Carolina is required.
• 5+ years of Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering experience, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and environmental permitting.
• Multi-state licensure is a plus.
• Experience with stormwater drainage and related permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare Storm Water Management Reports and culvert/bridge hydrologic & hydraulic studies.
• Independently prepare and submit stormwater permit documentation through various agencies.
• Lead drainage design on projects as directed by senior staff.
• Coordinate design development and mentor junior staff on water resources projects.
• Submit NPDES permits and meet MS4 requirements of municipalities and other government entities.
