Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Senior Hydraulic Structures Engineer to provide technical leadership in structural engineering for complex projects.

You will plan and develop designs and supervise multidisciplinary teams, with potential Project Manager responsibilities on larger initiatives. Required is a Civil or Structural Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years in building design and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license recognized by licensing board for position location (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Experience in design calculations and layouts for structural projects.
• Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert with authority in structural engineering; resolve complex problems.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of staff of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as Project Manager on larger projects when needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasis
