One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Smyrna, GA is seeking a Lead HVAC Technician - Operations Manager to support daily field operations by performing advanced service, repair, maintenance, and installation on residential HVAC systems while leading the technician team.

This role is the primary field lead, ensuring high-quality workmanship, customer experience, and coordination between technicians, dispatch, and management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of residential HVAC service experience with leadership/mentoring experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and technical competence
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability and business acumen linked to profitability
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
• NATE certification preferred
• Comfort with field service software (CRM, dispatch, job-costing) and KPI/financial reporting
• Able to pass background check and drug screen
• Clean driving record
• Higher pay preferred for Georgia Conditioned Air Contractor license (master level)

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced diagnostics, service, repair, maintenance, and installation on residential HVAC systems
• Leads and mentors technicians, guiding on technical issues, job quality, and customer communication
• Acts as field point-person for daily operations, coordinating with dispatch and management
• Handles complex or escalated service calls and on-site problem resolution
• Monitors job quality, safety, and compliance with standards
• Recruits and trains new technicians and supports career progression
• Tracks KPIs and supports pricing, membership programs, and workflow improvements
• Reviews job-costing and P&L data to improve profitability
• Maintains company vehicles and inventory readiness
• Promotes safety-first culture and supports permitting and code compliance
