Job summary

JL Finley Construction in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Technician to lead installation, service, and maintenance operations while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring all work meets company, safety, and code standards.

This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical ability, organization, and communication skills, with responsibility to coordinate daily activities on residential and commercial HVAC projects and to uphold high quality workmanship on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and airflow principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily work for technicians and apprentices.
• Train and mentor junior team members in proper installation and service procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact on job sites.
• Perform diagnostics, installations, and system testing.
