Senior Director of Maintenance and Special Projects

I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering top-quality service. The Lead HVAC Technician will oversee installations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring projects are completed on time and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of HVAC technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
2. Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
3. Diagnose system issues and perform troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
6. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service recommendations.
8. Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
9. Assist in estimating project costs, ordering materials, and managing inventory.
10. Train junior technicians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
3. EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) required.
4. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
5. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles.
6. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex HVAC issues.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
8. Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
