Job summary

ConServ Building Services in Tampa Bay is seeking an experienced HVAC service technician to read drawings, submittals, and install ductwork and sheet metal.

This full-time, Mon-Fri role requires EPA certification, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work independently. Travel between North and South Carolina is required with a company van and gas card.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience within the HVAC trade.
• EPA certification.
• Refrigeration knowledge.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Able to work independently.
• Must pass a criminal background check and on-site drug test.
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Reading and comprehending drawings, scopes & equipment submittals.
• Knowledgeable of local mechanical codes for estimating & inspections.
• Estimates for job pricing, material takeoffs and ordering to complete the job.
• Layout of duct work for install and coordination with other trades.
• Installation of sheet metal, fibrous board and flex duct, dampers, and air devices.
• Measuring & drawing up sheet metal duct fittings to be ordered.
• Hanging/setting of exhaust fans, louvers, units & other mechanical equipment.
• Hanging of copper, PVC & piping hangers for refrigerant, condensate & CHW piping.
• Insulation of ductwork with exterior fiberglass wrap.
• Low voltage control wiring for thermostats, dampers, heaters, and other control devices.
• Copper brazing, equipment startup and troubleshooting a plus.
• Daily communication of work completed through company tablet.
