Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration in Checotah, OK to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial facilities. You will read schematics, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead field teams, coordinate service calls, and communicate effectively with customers and management.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in commercial HVAC/R
Or 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or related field
EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling
Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR
Journeyman HVAC/R if required

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems while following codes
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems
Inspect and ensure compliance with HVAC/R regulations and refrigerant handling
Lead and mentor field teams; support safety and training
Manage service calls and coordinate resources; communicate with customers and management
Operate company vehicles safely within the region
