Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician in Broken Arrow, OK to install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems across multiple facilities. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, lead field teams, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

The role requires HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience, EPA refrigerant handling credentials, valid driver’s license, and ability to work a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal) required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• DUI/DWI within last 5 years not allowed; moving violations limited as specified.
• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC/R systems including ductwork and controls.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Lead and mentor technicians and apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Coordinate service calls and manage workload with digital scheduling tools.
• Follow OSHA and EPA 608 protocols and safety standards.
• Drive company vehicle to service calls and participate in on-call rotations.
