Job summary

Southeastern Louisiana University is seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Master Mechanic to install, repair, and maintain campus HVAC and refrigeration systems. This lead role will supervise multiple HVAC Refrigeration Mechanics and exercise independent judgment in daily tasks.

Work schedule is Mon-Thu 6:30 am–4:15 pm with 45 min lunch; Fri 6:30 am–11:30 am. A valid driver’s license and EPA 608 Type IV Universal certification are required, with up to 30 days to obtain the certification.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience or training in installation/maintenance of HVAC systems.
• EPA 608 certification (Type IV, Universal) required; may be obtained within 30 days.
• Ability to work independently and supervise multiple HVAC mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and refrigeration units across campus.
• Serve as lead worker over multiple HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic positions.
• Exercise independent judgment in daily tasks and decisions.
