Job summary

Hussmann Corporation is seeking a skilled Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R equipment in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities. You will work with a team to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient repairs, emphasizing safety and cost control.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and EPA 608 certification, with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth within Hussmann’s nationwide

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED; HVAC-R tech school preferred.
• External candidates: 10 years in the field or 7 years with certification from a Technical School.
• Internal candidates: 7 years with on-the-job training and skills assessment.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed, routing maintenance procedures on supermarket refrigeration systems and merchandisers.
• Partner with other technicians for start-up of new refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, timesheets, and communicate electronically in a timely manner.
• Lead HVAC/R PM programs and serve as a technical resource to other technicians.
