The role leads the design and delivery of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and educational projects, from concept through construction. You will perform mechanical calculations, select equipment, design hydronic piping and ductwork, and prepare construction documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• At least 7 years designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and educational projects.
• Perform mechanical calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
• Oversee hydronic piping, ductwork, and equipment sizing.
• Develop and manage project schedules and client expectations.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Coordinate with architects and cross-discipline teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance.
• Support proposal development and department growth initiatives.
• Oversee projects from concept through construction.
