Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, seeks an HVAC Lead to oversee the HVAC Mechanics, ensuring reliable operation of central plant equipment and hospital facilities.

Responsibilities include directing staff, maintaining steam boilers, refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and coordinating with engineers; requires 5 years in plant operations and CFC certification; weekend/on-call; day shift 7am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school required.
• 5 years’ experience in plant operations; hospital experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• CFC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to the HVAC Mechanics.
• Operate and maintain stationary engines and central plant equipment (e.g., boilers, refrigeration, air conditioning).

Position Summary:

• The Lead provides oversight and direction to the HVAC Mechanics
• Operates and maintains stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as central plant refrigeration, steam boilers, air condition systems, equipment and allied facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or trade school equivalent

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in plant operations; experience in a hospital preferred
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred

Licensure/Certification:

• CFC Certified
