Job summary
Yellow Dog Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Needham, MA seeks an experienced Lead HVAC Installation Technician to own residential installations from arrival to startup. You will lead the team, review scopes, and ensure high-quality workmanship that meets manufacturer requirements and our standards.
You will mentor apprentices, maintain a clean, organized jobsite, and communicate clearly with homeowners. We offer excellent benefits, a take-home truck, and opportunities to advance as the company
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- Ability to read equipment specifications and follow manufacturer installation requirements.
- Able to identify installation issues before they become problems.
- Capable of leading and mentoring apprentices and junior installers.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
- Install furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, A/C systems, coils, mini-splits, and related equipment.
- Direct and mentor apprentices and other installation team members.
- Review job scopes and identify potential issues before starting work.
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer requirements, codes, and Yellow Dog standards.
- Properly evacuate, charge, test, and commission systems.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the project.
