Job summary

Brennan Heating & Air is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our Lynnwood team. You will install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components in residential homes, following manufacturer specs and local codes.

We offer a starting rate of $40–$50 per hour, DOE, with medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO and holidays, a company vehicle where applicable, uniforms, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Six months HVAC installation experience minimum.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy expected.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment into residential homes per manufacturer specifications and company policy.
• Troubleshoot, start-up, operate, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Install duct systems and refrigerant lines, including brazing and soldering.
• Ensure gas line connections are secure and thermostats function properly.
• Load materials into the company vehicle and maintain vehicle safety and policy compliance.

The Lead Installer is responsible for installation of HVAC equipment into residential customer’s homes including but not limited to furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers and other related components.

Essential Job Functions

• E Install HVAC equipment into residential customer homes per manufacturer specifications, company policy, local and state required codes.
• E Effectively perform the functions of equipment troubleshooting, installation, start-up, operation and other duties as required to ensure customer satisfaction.
• E Perform installation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings to AMI Quality Standards, required code and job specifications.
• E Perform installation of refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering.
• E Ensure gas line connections and fittings to are properly secured.
• E Perform metal and wood hole cutting, framing and nailing outlets as required by job specifications.
• E Ensure functionality of thermostats to control HVAC system is operational.
• E Verify all materials and equipment required for each scheduled job and load into company vehicle.
• E Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety trainings and regulations as defined by company policy and procedure.
• E Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and operated in accordance to company driving policy.
• E Provide knowledge, training and guidance to Install Helpers to assist in the development of skills necessary to perform HVAC installation job requirements.
• E Participate and attend all required employee meetings and trainings.
• E N Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Competencies

This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. This position requires a self-starter with excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of six months prior HVAC installation experience. Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job. Must have a valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy.
